2 groups of six

Okiez, seriously, it's 2 straight days of going out with friends. Yesterday was with the HLM gang, and it was a really good time out together. Firstly, Nisa, Malyna, MJ and myself went to visit Iqbal in NUH, we expected it to be quite bad, but thankfully, yesterday he was in the best condition thus far. Just get well soon bro! All our prayers are with you, and we WILL see you next semester ya!
After that, we waited for GZ and Marky to turn up for dinner with us at Simpang's Spize. It was actually one of the better meals we had, and I agree with mark that the food there was much better compared to the usual western haunt opposite Beauty World.
After that the 6 of us headed to Simei to chill out and chat around as usual. A lot of things were brought up, and a few more to come soon, but it was still a good outing with the group, because it's been a really long time since we saw each other, the last being after the exams. So it was a good time to catch up with each other.

Today I also went out with the SP gang this time, 6 peeps as well: Hafiz, Rino, Izzy, Ayun, Daryll and myself went to just chill out at Fiz's place initially, so we had dinner there. Then after that, headed down to Toa Payoh to do a bit of shopping, and most of us ended up with new hoodies, all of the same brand as well, hahahaha. Daryll was pissed off with the bad quality hoodies he tried on, and he just went emo for a while, hahaha. So after that, we went to Mac to chill, and the guys taught Izzy and me a new thumb game, and it was so fun we couldn't stop, until Ayun had to go home. So on the train, Rino, Fiz, Izzy and I continued to play the game all the way back from Tao Payoh, hahahaha, it was really interesting.
So ya, 2 nights out so late, and my eyes are really hurting from the lack of sleep. Fatigue setting in as well, hahahahaha, nah, not so serious, but I don't feel myself, because I NEED to sleep early, aw well.

Both days, I had Roti John for dinner, and honestly, both were really nice. The first one was made by Fiz's mum, and it's really crispy on the outside, and the inside is just as good. For a home-made version, it ranks the top on my list. The next Roti John is from Spize, not too bad, and it was extremely filling, deliciousss. And the jokes about me eating myself are really tak funny Hafiz, really tak funny.

Ok, so now I'm going to sleep, and 3 more nights of going home late, so I doubt I'll be online, so take care everyone!

Saturday, March 15, 2008

Well, on Tuesday, I went to meet up the SP guys for supper at Mac, and it was just like any casual fun supper. With Hafiz, Ayun, Rino and Daryll, and everything was all fine and dandy, and Ayun left early to go home. So we 4 just sat around and continued to chat, and we were all laughing about something, which I will not disclose, so all of us were really laughing hard. I laughed until my whole face was beet red, and then MR HAFIZ, said some lame comment in a very calm manner, which was really hilarious. What happens here is just unbelieveable: A split second after Hafiz said that, my dear friend Rino merlioned all over me with a mouthfull of milo. Apparently the comment made him blow, and I was so unfortunate to sit opposite Rino, so I got a mixture of milo and saliva all courtesy of Mr Rino.
I just sat there shocked, and I was simply speechless, hahaha, and furthermore, I was wearing a white shirt, so the milo stains were extremely obvious. According to Daryll and Fiz, that guy was famous for spitting drinks on other people as well, hahahaha. The other 2 just sat there laughing their butts off, at least Rino accompanied me to the toilet to wash up, but the stains were really bad, hahahaha. Ah well, first time for everything I say, and it's something which we will all keep bringing up over and over again. Hahahaha, so the pictures below are the aftermath of the whole incident and after washing up as well, but it still looks bad right?
Oh well.....

Looks as if I had mud on the side of my face.(I didn't notice this until Rino spotted it after we sat back down)

So ya, THANKS a lot HAFIZ!! Hahahaha, this shall be something never to be forgotten man.

One word: BLESSED

Well, good morning people! Hahahaha, my exam results for Year 2 Semester 2 are finally out! I guess I was a bundle of nerves before opening the email, and now, I'm quite alright. Not super excited, but also not disappointed. Hahaha, I know the effort I put in ,and I'm really glad I still maintained my GPA, so it's not bad for me. =)
So here they are, in order of grades:

{AD} Landscape Design II
{A+} Genetics & Plant Breeding
{A+} Basic Korean 101
{B+} Propagation & Nursery Management
{C+} Arboriculture
{PASS} Innovation & Enterprise In Action(Earphones project)
Grade-Point-Average: 3.6622

Well, not a lot of modules this semester to be honest, but all of them are really difficult, and well, I made it! Hahaha, really blessed to be able to continue to maintain my grades, although it isn't an improvement, but I'm really glad I still did well even with all the camps, meetings, and an extra module, so all I can say is "I'm BLESSED!"
Director's List?? No idea, but whichever way, I'm really happy with my results, and I ask for nothing more.

Calvin also just entered BMT in Pulau Tekong, and his hair is finally shorter than mine!! Hahahahahaha. Time really flies, and he's already into NS! 1 more year for me, and I'll be joining him as well. Oh man, hahahahahaha.
I follwed him into the camp, and when I saw his Commanding Officer, I could already feel the tension. Cal told me that when the visitors were taking a tour of the facilities of Tekong, the CO was shouting at them, and making life difficult on the very first day already. Hahaha, I'm not going into NS yet, but I could feel the nervousness and stress of the situation during the inaugaration ceremony, oh man, no idea what to expect when it's my turn to enter into NS. Hahahaha, but oh well, now just continue to concentrate on studies, that's all.
Calvin, don't give up, and always believe in Him and nothing will go wrong for you! I believe in you, and Jia You, and get out as new man after BMT! =D

Holidays, holidays.
Hahaha, it's the holidays! Well, have you all found jobs yet? Or just staying at home rotting away?
Just to let you all know, I finally got a job again after 2 years or so. I'm a writer for a tourism magazine in Singapore, under Madelle Media. Cannot find it on the internet, because the company's website is still in progress. How did I get the job? Well, my dear friend Dickson, put in a good word for me, and I got the job. However, in the process, there was a really informal interview, and it caught me offguard totally, because it was scheduled as a 'meet up' with the other writers, turned out that the boss forgot, and it ended up being the boss, Dickson, and myself, and me under the spotlight. The feeling was something which I rarely experienced in the whole of my life: I was extremely nervous, and the atmosphere was super intense. There're no other words to describe it other than stressful, intense and scary. According to the boss, my interview was really bad, and I agree with him, because I was not prepared in any way, and my answers were not solid at all.
Thank God that Diskson put in a good word for me, if it weren't for him, I would not have gotten the job at all. The boss said he would give me chance to try, but I have to go through a series of training before actually starting work, so I guess it'll extend to the next academic year. Hahahaha, I have no idea how to cope with so many things, but there'll be a way, so no worries!
So what is my job scope? I will be given a topic to write on, and I have to go research on the topic given, and come up with an article for the magazine. I have to conduct interviews if necessary as well. It sounds very intimidating, but I guess it's all part of the exposure, and it will be comething totally new to me.
I'm writing this entry now because I just completed one of Dickson's friend's essay on design. It's something which I have no clue about, and I had to do lots of research on the topic. Being a writer is not an easy thing, and a lto of work has to be put into preparation before coming up with the final piece. Thankfully, we wrote a lot of reports in Poly already, so I just treated this as another report, only twice as long:2000 words. It is really A LOT to write, but I'm really glad I'm done, and I can finally relax my mind.
This is something like a training for myself, and to show it to my boss when I meet him on Thursday for our first training session. Hope he likes it. =/

Now I'm off to meet the SP gang for supper, and it's been a super long time since I met those guys, hope I can keep my eyes open while eating. ZZZZZZzzzzz

PS:Thanks A LOT Dickson, for helping me get this job. I won't let you down!
