He was just on his way home on the train, listening and enjoying the company of his music, when something caught his eye. Three friends talking to each other; a Singaporean chinese, an indian, and a Chinese ex-patriot, all just chatting away, and laughing at the jokes the indian was telling. But the thing which caught his attention was that a few other Filipino and malay strangers around them were also silently chuckling to the jokes.

When an elderly man boarded the train, he looked around for a seat. A young punk, with his up-tempo techno music, saw this and gave up his seat for the elderly man to sit down. Another man was sitting down with his laptop turned on and was busy doing his work, not minding the stranger next to him looking on curiously, wondering what he might be doing with his laptop on.

He just stood there,not expecting such things to happen on a typical train ride home. How people of so distinct and diverse backgrounds talking and joking around, not minding laughing along with strangers, or how a young juvenile would so graciously give up his seat to an elderly man, or how open-minded a young businessman can be, to let a total stranger look at what he is doing. All these thoughts ran through his mind, and he realized how a modern society can live so harmoniously together; it was Singapore afterall. A place where foreigners come to seek refuge, or just hoping to look for a safehaven, away from all the racial discriminations and economic wars constantly happening everyday. A place of racial harmony and social security, where a train or bus ride will not end up being blown up by extremist groups.

He was glad he had friends of different races, friends from different countries as well. He was glad he knew them, and that they are safe. He was glad he was a Singaporean. He was glad he was born into a safe country. He was glad how blessed he is to be in such a situation.

I'm just glad to be......me.

Ok, it's been a really long time since i last blogged,and a lot has happened. Went to Sim Lim to meet GZ to get my new computer set-up, and it took us about 2 hours to get the whole thing done. The whole set costs $2000+, and its a lot of money to be spending on a computer.
Hahahah, well i just finished configuring it last night,well actually this morning at 2am, so i just have the installation of games left, and according to GZ, its going to be a lot of fun. Hahhahah,i bet it will be, of else it won't do the $2k justice.

Just want to thank GZ again, for taking time to accompany and help me get my computer up and running. Thanks man!!!!

Yesterday, there were 2 pet fairs at the expo: a cat fair and a dog fair. Hahaha,almost next door to each other. When you walk pass the cat convention, its realyl quiet and not a lot of actities going on, but as you walk pass the dog fair, it's the total opposite. Barking everywhere,people patting domesticated dogs, sizes ranging from a lunchbox, so a really big one we saw, as wide as a baby pram ,and as long as a human. That dog looked as if it went to the gym to work out, and taking steriods as well, it really looked huge and fierce, but it was really tame,and it let a little girl pat it. Hahahaha,what a sight to behold, it was really cool to dine among dog lovers around you.

So now it's the beginning of a 1month plus holiday, and i'm looking forward to it, to a well deserved rest and relaxing time. And i can only imagine how tough the next semester is going to be, so keeping ma fingers crossed.

Chalet is just 1 week away, looking forward to it,and spending time with the gang, and having loads of fun and chatting and all. Wooohoooo, alright, now i'm going off to continue installing the games, see y'all soon!

Today was quite alright, started with a Mac breakfast with ZHC, and it's a really rare chance old buddies get to meet up and chat over breakfast. So we had a good talk and managed to catch up with each other on how each of us were doing in life(sounds so cliche,haha).

Then headed to my house to study, well for him anyway. He was revising for a whole hour, then he got distracted by me playing Audition, then from that point onwards, the books were thrown aside, and all eyes were on the laptop. Hahaha, i was also surprised that he actually had an Audition ID, so i gave him a few tips,and let him practise. Finally, someone else who will be joining me in the game, soon my friend, soon you will be pro (like me :P). ZHC was playing so long that i got bored and decided to clean up my room, and cleared out a lot of old games, some which will be donated to those lucky enough to get from me. =) We played for about 6 hours straight, and then i had to go out.

So we parted,and i went to meet Gerald and Esther for a guitar session together at Gerald's crib. Had a REALLY good time there, just playing and learning new songs, very fruitful and fun session. So in the end, we played for about 3 1/2hours, then i wanted to go home by MRT,but sadly, no more trains, so got a quick ride home, compliments of Gerald, so yea, that's the end of the day.

Really tired and exhausted, but had a really good time in and out of the house, so time to head to dreamland. Good night people!

Alright! Finally its the end of the exams, and also marking the end of the semester. Really glad this gruelling period is over, so now the only thing left to do is to just have fun! Seriously, everyone has been burning the midnight oil and studying hard for the exam, so i guess everyone need a real good break.

But to tell the truth, i think i really studied smart this semester, what do i mean? Well, i see everyone studying the whole day, until the next day 1-2am in the morning. As for myself, the latest i slept was at 11pm,and i didn't really study much during the day as well, and during the exam, i can still manage to complete the whole paper, with only a bit of difficulty. Don't get me wrong here people, i just want to say that its not necessary to study so much and expect good results, no doubt, with more effort, good results will come to you, but i think that early sleeping times and time management are quintessential to do well for exams. But hey,that's just my point of view, everyone has his/her own study method, so i'm just stating a point,that's all, don't come scolding me hor!(cant get the singlish out of blogger,hahahha)

So hung out with the gang at Starbucks(Holland V) and just chilled out for quite some time. Then headed to Sim Lim Square with GZ to look for new computer parts, and I want to thank GZ for accompanying me down to Sim Lim Square again, really appreciate it man.

Now,all that's left to do is to enjoy this holiday and I'm sure i won't be retaking any module, that i'm quite certain of. :P

Ok, just wanted to say that today's Plant Pathology & Entomology paper was manageable, considering how little i studied during the past week. Seriously, i tried my best to revise as much as possible in the given time, and i did, but i ended up watching more of Ellen Degeneres and Oprah on tv.
Anyway, the paper is already over, so i'm not going to dwell on it too much, now its left with the final paper tomorrow. I already studied as much as i can,and my brain capacity is literally maxed out with information, so i doubt i'll continue revising anymore. Because i don't want to end up cramming so much into my head, and in the end, the exam questions are straightforward.
Alright, so now i'm going to relax and play my guitar before turning in for the night.

Aights!! finally can take a breather for the weekend.....well, had a good time out yesterday, had GKidz leader's team bonding, so all the childrens' leaders convened to get to know each other and to find out our DISC personalities....i think some of u might have done this before..... so yea, got to know A WHOLE BUNCH of peeps,and really glad i did.....
but sadly the weather was not on our side, so we only headed to east coast for BBQ dinner,and hada great time there....and guess what, im the youngest among all the leaders... *GRINS* ahhahaha,really proud to stand out so much la....the oldest was like late 30's la....so yea, had a good time, chatted about a lot of stuff with a lot of different people.....

today was good too, could finally say 'hi' to other leaders when we saw each other,so it was nice.....lesson was also not too bad, smaller group turned up, had a fruitful time as well....and i mean that literally as well,cause i had to bring an apple for dickson to teach the kids on multiplication.....then to end off the day was a puzzle with the kids....and guess what again....i used GZ's voided furniture AutoCAD drawing as the puzzle pieces...hahahha,but dont worry man, i covered ur name.....hahaha,so ya.... went for service and end of today....or so i think la....
i still have A LOT to revise for the upcoming exams....aw man......gotta study hard for this.....

on a lighter note.... my blog is finally 1 YEAR OLD!!!!!! WEEEEEE!! our 1st year together....hahahahha,sounds funny, but yea, really glad i started this lil thingy exactly a year ago....well,we had a lot of great and fun times here,but it also had its share of emo times...but kept to a minimal...so im at least im still living up to the blog address....muahahhahhaha,okok, so ya, imma end it here....

wooohooo,ok so today finally got 1 exam paper down....manageable, not that bad,thoughts flowed quite alright.... had a good lunch,then headed to marky's crib to get a bit of revision done,it wasnt the best,but it sure was long enough for me....

then headed to pandan valley with ling jie,with the whole tribe to end off the 100k campaign...so yea, had a good time,was supposed to lead worship, but too paiseh,and 1st time jitters la...so gerald took over... :P

so ya, good day, tmr gonna be a whole day out at east coast,and sunday will be packed as well...so no revision for this 2 days,hahahhaa,gonna be a bit of a waste....oh well....time to revise smart....

gosh, its only been 3 days of being cooped up in the house and its taking a toll on my sanity already.... seriously, its been revising and stressing at the dining table( i dont have a proper study table...oh wait,i do,but its a total mess....) and watching tv in the living room....i have isolated myself frm my laptop for the most part of the day,so i keep switching between the table and tv.....its really boring...cause my attention span is really bad,so i cant study much for long,and once my mind is off, i go watch tv.....

sheesh....its really not productive la....im guessing every1 else is doing much better than me....
i dunno how im faring, but to tell the truth, im really doing my best to concentrate and its the 1st time i've taken so much time to revise for exams so early in advance....
i shouldn't be bloggin now,but i dunno what else to do liao....studying isnt appealing at night,and there's nothing on on the tv...ah well....its just a personal battle with myself to overcome this final hurdle of this semester.....

Conscious: No point thinking negatively now eh old chap!!! Time to give this rusty brain a big thump eh, wouldn't you say?

HIHI all....had a good weekend..... RECAP!~

yesterday was really fun la.....seriously speaking.....okok,morning was the usual bus ride to EXPO(enjoyed it as usual as well...lolx..) then wanted to go settle down and wait for the kids to come, but i saw Caleb eating,so went to join him....hes just as acquaintance from the kids camp back in march, so decided to get to know him more over breakfast.....halfway thru,my dear Dickson finally returned,so i didnt need to lead the kids,and it was hilarious la.....BOTAK head!! hahahahhaa,darn funny, and doesnt suit him at all...but oh well....all guys gotta go through this phase....so yea,got a chance to catch up with him and listened to his Tekong tales......

so we went to wait for the kids to arrive,and when worship started, halfway through, this group kids wearing orange vests came in,and turned out to be Korean kids...haha,about 90% of the people in the room turned around to look at the visitors....quite a few boys and gals came in.....7 of them were assigned to Dickson and myself...so just settled down and continued,but the kids kept making a lot of noise....even i couldnt concentrate...haha,had to keep shushing both the singaporean kids and korean kids...hahhaa

so we all went for lessons, thank God Dickson was with me,or else i would have died controlling 2 group of kids....so he took the boys,and i took the korean kids,and we just chatted,cause they couldnt understand much of the lesson,so we used a bit of english,a bit of drawing, a bit of body language to communicate...hahah,really fun,and luckily i know how to write my korean name(but realised i messed up the characters) and numbers, or else it was total language barrier,and they kept calling me 'teacher' for no reason...hahhaa,and they asked if my job was leading the kids every sunday,i just said yes,cause when i said 'voluntary' they didnt understand..... and surprisingly about 2 of them could speak rather good english,although not tat good,but still quite fluent considering their age and they dont study english as their 1st language,they acted like young translators between me and the guys who weren't that good in english.....
so we chatted about a lot of stuff: food, school, subjects, games, countries, ,famous korean singers, family, etc etc.....hahha,at their age,they are already leaning the atlas la.....really advanced stuff for such young guys......and they even play maple at tat age....(well,same case in singapore also la...so not surprising) hahhahaa,so yea, had a really good time with them, and took a few shots with them, but i dont think i'll ever get to see those pictures at all,let alone the kids.....so had a group hug and bade farewell to them.....really a good experience and exposure to such situations...

service was good,cause partially, sermon was also about Jonathan....muahhahhaha,but not me la of course, its the Jonathan in the Bible....so really blessed to have attended service....
after that was initally supposed to be celebrating Lionel's birthday,but he couldnt make it in the end...haish....but anyways da cell went to Tea Chapter at Chinatown, and its been AGES since i went there....the last time i went was in primary school...so its been tat long....hahaha,and it hasnt really changed much la....had a good time chatting with the whole group over tea....hahahha,and the hot topic was obviously relationships....got to discover more about the female mind and psyche....then there was this joke which made adrian,gerald and me laugh until we rolled on the floor,and the gals were just like 'huh??' hahahhaa,really funny stuff.....so yea,end of sunday....

today was ok la, it was revision for PM,and i literally isolated myself from my room and its many temptations of the computer and laptop.....and my shuffle still proved itself useful in helping me study...cause i didnt want to waste battery on my nano,so used my shuffle instead.....which is maxed out with 1GB of songs(finally!)...so yea,stuff went into the head.....now gonna take a break and finish it up tomorrow....the rest of the exams will be tougher....sheesh...and biochem's venue is at the Convention Centre.....of all places o.O tat will be an interesting scene to behold next week.....lolx......

phew! some warm weather we're experiencing now eh.....probably the warm spell has finally set in?? hhahha,no idea, but i can definitely feel the effects already..... i already had to bathe 3 times today without even stepping out of the house.....sheesh.....seriously bad weather.....

i also just finished watching the whole series of Galactik Football, its a cartoon on football with added spice,so if u all get stressed over revising for the upcoming exams, go check this show out,its really cool...

and anyways, i also finally got to practise my guitar once again,after about 3 weeks without playing.....fingers pain and sore once again,but its all worth it i should say......and just fell in love with another song and i cant stop praticing it,gotta get it right,cause its plucking at a fast tempo,and i LOVE it...its by Clay Aiken-When You Say You Love Me..

wooho0000!! and i got to consume meat for breakfast and dinner just now, and honestly,i feel like puking... X.X
seriously...its been a long time since i touched meat, and to eat so much in 1 day is suicide i tell u....i already discussed it with my mum; stay on the vegen diet,with only occassional meats here and there...and i prefer it to my old way of eating anyways.....

GOOD MORNING BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!!! =)
yea,good day today ya....finally a public holiday amidst the hectic schedule of the everyday poly/jc student.....well,lemme talk about yesterday 1st.....started out with biochem test,hmmm,it was quite ok.but i made A LOT of careless mistakes(a few questions i honestly didnt understand yet,until after the test),so definitely lost a lot of marks,but oh well, at least now i know where i went wrong....so had a quick lunch, and the gang headed to com lab to do last minute touch-ups for our project presentations.....somehow i feel that my group being the last group was actually a blessing, cause we had time to do a lot of adjustments before our turn,so really glad about tat.....
the presentation went quite ok only,not the best, but at least its over with,so now officially no more projects to worry about until the end of the exams(mj and i still need to touch up on our trellis...-_-'') hahahha,so ya, now its time to just take a break frm sch and start to read and revise.... X.X

after the dreade presentation, on the way out frm sch,finally saw nis' bf!! muaahhahahhahaha....shall not comment on it here.....so anyways! went to attend the Love Singapore Churches "day of His power" meeting,and it was really really good!! its been a very long time since worship was good,and i enjoyed it....and also i have never been to the indoor stadium....i think at most once when i was still in nursery school.so now its an eye opener for me....muahhahahhaha,after the meeting ended, the tribe all headed down to old changi road hawker centre.....and i incidentally stumbled upon the famous gigantic cup of sugar cane stall, so obviously, i bought it la.....shocked everyone when it was brought to me....weeeee!! hahahhaa,esther took a pic of it, but i dont have it with me cause my dumb hp lost its battery just before the meeting started, so i can only get it on sunday i guess......

well,reached home at 1am this morning, all tired and sticky....but it was a reallly good day....so yea,and its the National Day holidays as well....so:

woooooo000,okok,well i guess its almost our nation's birthday,and sadly,i doubt anybody in my class is gonna bask in the celebratory atmosphere these few days, cause mainly, we have a really difficult test tomorrow,and to add to that, we also have a major presentation to do,and its a really stressful project,a lot of stuff to do......
so yea lor...a lot of things going on now even though its going to be the end of the 1st semester.....

hmmm,today was a good day i must say,not the best ,but quite a fruitful one nonetheless....started with biochem lecture(the last 1 of the sem!! finally!!!), and it was aights la...a lot of words,but i guess its not as bad as previous chapters....had a kinda good lunch break with the gang, and a partial movie,lolx.......and just before structural drawing test started, finally saw Li Bin in person as well....got to at least say 'hi' 'bye' to her....and Mr Saiful was outside the class with the year 1s' and he told me our PP report was Good!!! muahhahahahha!!! the 1st to hand in and quite a good one as well.... *Big Grin!!!!* yay!!!!! so yea,just wanna gloat about it here..... :P

the test was so-so only la....a lot of stuff i messed up and mixed up,but nvm la...over liaoz....now its down to the other papers to help my GPA(which is already hopeless)....so yea...gotta get back to revising.... nightz guys!!

alrighty...... long time since an entry was made in this desolate corner of nothing-land in cyberspace....so imma shed let the sunlight in once more ^^

sooo,yea,yesterday was HLM day,and well,i was actually late for tat day la....seriously late...45 mins late to be exact....hmmmmm,honestly,i blame the bus drivers partially,cause they drive so slow.....and there are hardly any vehicles at that time la.....but also partly my fault...i left my house late cause i was watching tv....ahhahahhaa....so yea,reached sch late and all sweaty....and just missed the award presentation part.....i should have left way earlier,cause i got 2 module prizes....well,hahahaha,both for the toilet project....but yea, i guess a lot of effort was put into that... so ya,this is on behalf of TNN!!!!! whos up for another Ben & Jerry's??? JKJKJK!!!! hahahaha....enough liao....too ex....

so finally got to meet eunice face to face....shes a year 1 btw....just got to know her and another gal about 2 weeks ago.....so yea,can talk about modules and lecturers as well....lol...can get a freshie's perspective on things.....

so after that,just hung out with nis,mj,malyna at KAP,and just chatted the time away lor....went hme about 1 1/2 hrs of chatting.......rested a while,and headed to YCCL to meet the Primers' gang to collect our new polo shirt,and to catch up with them as well lor......

so,i ended up staying for Alpha Course with them,and it was much better than when i took it with the other 3 musketeers....it was much more lively and crowded...so yea,it was a good experience.....took a few pot shots with the group,then hung out with Bert,Liang Qin,Davin,Reggy and Cyndy at Mac....had my 2nd taste at coffee,and just chatted the night away as well.....

today was also quite ok la i must say.....i initially wanted to go FOP,but sadly the cell didnt wanna go,well,there's always next year.....so i ended up shopping with ma mum as planned.....we went to SKS bookstore to take a look,cause she hasnt been there b4,and i wanted to go there cause i wanted more songs as well la..hahahha,she also got a cd for herself....so yea,after that,headed to vivo to look around,cause i need to change my glasses,we looked around,the prices were freaky high, so ended up eating Ben & Jerry's...muahahhahha,2nd time for me,1st for her....then in the end went to northpoint and got a pair lol....not really cheap la,but i guess its a change from my current look....so watch out next week guys......i'll look much better....muahahhahah!!! *insane*

aights!! finally i can take a REAL breather.....seriously...the past few weeks were indeed fun, but obviously there were a few persistent projects and assignments to complete.....sheesh.....ah well,at least i can say i have 1 last project left.....finally!!!! no more insects for me....i honestly love the module, but the project part is kind of a drag.....well,at least now no more stressing on where to catch insects and how to display them...
no sch tomorrow, but there's HLM day,and i have no idea what it is about.....furthermore mj said must wear thr HLM shirt,which btw is not nice looking at all......seriously....beige colour(supposed to be dark brown) and the design looks as though it has been smudged.....haish.....tak comment liaoz.....
oh well.....at least there's the weekends to look forward to,so it shouldn't be that bad la.....
unfortunately, my living room's lighbulb just blew, so im stuck in my room....well,hahahah,actually most of the time im in my room anyways.... :P

okiez enough of blogging now....just wanna play a few games to de-stress and end the week.... =)
