Ah yes, what wonderful weather we have today. Just raining all the way since morning till late morning. It was very cooling and comfortable, how I wish our little island will always have such weather throughout the year, but come to think of it again, it might get boring and mundane. Hahahaha, so forget whatever I just said, different weather in Singapore is good, it adds variety to our lives.

Anyway, a turn of events happened after school, with the I&E situation, so I'm really praying hard that we won't need to hand in a whole lot of paper work and proof, mainly because we don't have any. Oh well, just hope nothing worse happens in the near future.

It's only the 3rd week of school, and a lot of things have to be done, and a lot of projects to complete. Like Nisa said:" It's only the 3rd week la, must chiong so many things liao."
Indeed girl, indeed, I totally agree with you, it's just a lot of things to do.
Ah well, I guess its expected of year 2s', and it will only get tougher, hahahaha, so much for boosting everyone's morale. But I do believe we can all pull through this semester, I don't doubt it for a second, I know there will be trials and tribulations throughout this whole semester, but if we all stick together and keep the love strong, I KNOW WE CAN MAKE IT THROUGH!!

Hahahaha, just want to add a bit of humour to this post. The picture on the left is from GZ's comic strip on his blog, the guy on the right is my korean lecturer. Hahahaha,I don't know about you, but I find there is a resemblence between both of them. LOL!! But to be honest, my lecturer (Mr Kwon) is really really good, and I won't ask for any other teacher. He's really funny and even though the lesson is difficult, he makes an effort to help all of us understand. And even though he was sick yesterday, he still came to teach us, and I'm really blessed to have him to teach me 한 글. 감 사 함 니 다!

Alright, it's already the 3rd week of school, and things are getting heated up already. Modules are getting tougher to absorb, and people are just not coming to school regularly, hahahaha. But hey, I guess its all part of the schooling life, and I know there'll be more to come.

Anyways, my korean lessons so far have been quite intersting, but today's was getting into the lesson proper, and it was a far cry from being simple. We had to construct sentences, and it is really not that easy, coupled with a lot of pronunciations which we all have not gotten used to yet, so it all adds up to a really difficult lesson. But nonetheless, our teacher still adds his touch of humour to the class, so it was still enjoyable. Its only going to get tougher from here on out, so just have to continue to seek His help and, well, to sleep early I guess, hahahahahah!

Finally its the end of the work week, but as usual, work doesn't end here. More projects are coming in, and more assignments and essays to be handed in. Hahahaha, guess its back to the days of not sleeping early(but I still sleep early, :P) and rushing projects and reports.

Anyways, today the class got to do some planting, and it was actually kind of cool and fun, but I don't know if the Marigolds will actually flower, oh well. It was a good experience all the same, so no complains from me. During Landscape Design class, I zoned out halfway through the lesson, and my mind just went completely blank, hahahahaha. Well, at least I got some work done on the new project, so it wasn't too bad.

Oh, something interesting happened to me: a few weeks ago, my iPod shuffle and earphones went for a swim with my clothes in the washing machine, so when I realised it, it was too late. I fished out and tried drying it, but sadly, the shuffle could no longer work, I kept pressing the buttons, but water just leaked out, so it was as good as dead. But my earphones, after drying them, could still work! Amazing stuff I tell you. Unfortunately, some of the wires are beginning to be exposed now, so I guess they won't last very long.
Anyway, another one of my electronic pieces went for a swim as well: my thumbdrive. I saw it this morning on the kitchen countertop, and realised that I forgot to take it out from my shorts yesterday, hahahahaha, I just felt so dumb at that point of time. But just now, when I plugged it into my computer, it worked as well! NICE! And even the files inside were not destroyed, and its as though the thumbdrive didn't get wet at all. Hahahahaha.

I just feel really lucky that they can still work. :D
Aw man, now I have to do some assignments and prepare for Sunday's teaching, lol, this week is really tiring me out. Oh well, I'll pull through anyways. OK,so see ya'll next week!

To most of you, upright is actually upside down.

Ok people, this is going to be an interesting post. As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I said I will be posting all my pass photos of my childhood, well, this is the post that will show/embarrass me. Hahahaha, so lets get started on describing all my stages of growth since I was born into this world:

This was taken when I was 3 years old, hahahaha, full of cuteness right? My hair still filled my head back then,no spiky hair yet, just the good old fashion student hairstyle. I didn't smile because a few of my teeth dropped out, so I didn't think it would look good in my picture, so my mouth was sealed tight. You'll see what I mean later.

Moving on, this was taken 1 year later, at 4 years old. THIS is the picture which my mum and I both agree, is me at my most handsome stage, seriously. The neat gel-like hair on my scalp, and that smile which can enchant a tigeress. I really think this is my peak in my life, hahahaha, everybody's peak is in their 20's, mine is when I'm 4 years old. I take a glance at this, and I don't really see a Singaporean here, more like a Filipino Chinese boy, hahahahaha, oh well.

Ok,this is when I was in Primary 2, 8 years old. Well, the smile is back to sealed lips and the hair is just longer. This is where my eyebags started to appear and it just got worse from there. I think I was slightly plump here, what with all the eating and gorging myself with fast food.

Ah yes, the stage where I put on quite a fair amount of weight. This is me at 11 years old, be-spectacled and fat. Hahahaha, the classic round glasses and that double chin is typical of a nerd. The G.I hairstyle started off from here and it still maintains till this very day, hahahaha. This was when computers started to invade our lives and I got hooked onto them and glued my eyes to the screen almost everyday.

13 years old!! The worst I have ever looked and felt. Just take a look for a second: my hair is all messed up, my eyebags are as bad as ever, the tie is crooked, and I'm so fair. This is how I looked when I kept staring into the computer screen every single day for at least 4 hours, and I just look ragged and messy. I was a walking fashion disaster back in those days. Once again, I couldn't even smile properly, thus adding to the boring and mundane life of yours truly.

The not too distant future of me, at 16 years old. At the prime of my secondary school life and CCA life. I didn't change much, apart from the uniform, the eyebags are still there though. But at least my smile here looks slightly more warm compared to 3 years ago. Here I was still kind of plump though, just that you can't see it on my face. Was glad to be graduating from secondary school here, away from all the tests and exams and revision. Sadly, its no different right now in Poly.

Well, this is the Jonathan all of you are familiar with. At 18 years old, I only changed a bit: spiky hair, slightly darker skin tone, and of course, a MUCH bigger and brighter smile. This was taken for my baptism registration, and it was just the spur of the moment thing when I was shopping with my mum. Eyebags still there, but at least the smile over-shadows the ugly eyebags. Hahahahaha, the typical cheery personality of me!! :)

Ok,so that was the short journey of mine throughout my childhood to teenhood. Now the following photos are just some of my cuter photos when I was still a toddler:

You can never be greedy enough on your birthday. Ask for as much as possible and hope to recieve it on your birthday. This was when I was only a year old, at my mum's friend's house. Mango cake, my favourite ever since, hahahahaha. Amen, *digs into cake*

Who ever said guys cannot play with soft toys? I honestly cannot remember those toys, but I sure do look happy in that picture, so I guess soft toys were the hottest toys back then. :P Here, my two front teeth dropped, and new ones started to grow, so I was the opposite of Bugs Bunny back then, hahahaha.

Hahahahahah! My vocation already laid out for me when I was only 2 years old, LOL. A bouquet of flowers set in front of me. A testament to my future working path, hahahaha, really surprising to see such a photo taken so many years ago. A young florist in the making!! :D

This was at Calvin's previous home at Tampines, and high socks were the IN thing back then. Every kid on the block had high socks and you were considered a weirdo if you wore low socks. Hahahaha, how much fashion has changed over one decade.

The cover boy of Toddler's magazine 1995. That pose and that aura of confidence was what made me look so cute and handsome here. Hahahaha, I have no idea where this was taken, but it sure is kind of nice to know I knew how to pose for a good picture back in those days. And that smile, ah yes, that smile, it just lights up everyones' day every single time. Hahahaha.

And of course, not forgetting the Brothers 3. This was Fred's birthday at my grandma's place. My 2 closest cousins ever since childhood, and looking at this photo back then, all 3 of us changed A LOT since then. But I guess that bond there will never fade, and will definitely stand the test of time.

A nice ending to my photo show of my childhood, and all those memories a decade ago. Hahaha,so ya, this is the end of the post, and I just want to say that all of us should cherish our youth now. Enjoy while we can, and party on when we're young, because when we all grow older, we can look back on times like these and re-live those memories of being young again, and living free in this world.
So a very good night to everyone and sweet dreams!! =)

Well, just came home from school. Archery lesson today!! Hahahaha, been a really long time since I touched the bow and arrow, and the Primers all got to shoot a lot of arrows. My skills were all rusty, and my fingers are all crumpled right now, hahahaha, but it was a great feeling to be able to shoot again.

Then got to play Captains' ball with the Boys, Primers against the Sec 1s', hahaha, guess who won? They won!! Man! It really goes to show how fit we were back in secondary school, those who go to poly all become lazy and don't exercise anymore, hahahaha. Sadly we got owned 6-2, but in defense, all of us Primers were tired out by the archery, so that was partly to blame. LOL.
Oh,and Mr Ong and the Magician brought up something important: National Camp 2008! Hahahaha,10-13 Aug, Fie!! You going right? But we have 3rd year during that period, so I have to see if its worth skipping school for Nat Camp. Don't get your hopes too high bro.

OK,so that's it for my Saturday, now just taking time to chill out and relax before a hectic day tomorrow. Bye people! 안 녕 히 가 세 요!

EXCELLENT!! Hahahaha, just finished reformatting my whole computer!! Woooohooo!! I expected the reformat to take the whole night to complete, but apparently, I didn't delete the files in my harddisk, so I still have all my files intact. =) And I finally got the language toolbar I was lacking earlier, and to add to the good moment, there's no school for the whole course tomorrow!! hahaha, for the first time in my schooling life, all the lessons on the same day have been cancelled,so right now, I fell really blessed!

Just now had a really good day in school, met the new Landscape Design teacher, supposedly the teacher should be a female, turned out the timetable was wrong, and a guy turned up instead. Hahahah, did his intro and made us all intro ourselves, and stated his expectations and all. Then it was Ms Kan's lesson, finally a familiar face teaching us again, but sadly, its a more complicated module.

So that was the end of the day, it ended at 2pm, and I was supposed to go meet Reggy at SP at 3.30pm, so I had time to spare, so wanted to go straight to SP, but didn't where to go when I reached there, so I decided to stay at my library. I happened to walk pass the language section and I decided to teach myself Malay, hahahaha, it's actually quite tough, but hey, at least I got a bit of the basics in that short span of time.

Went to get the confidential documents from Reggy after a quick mixup at the MRT station(next time call and confirm where to meet!! hahaha) So after that, met up with Ben and Dan and just chatted a bit while Reggy and I ate our lunch.
So that's it for the day, really happy I got things done today!
Tomorrow meeting the Magician to pass him the documents, hahahahaha, hope he pops up at my doorstep. :P

Alrights, a really long day for me, extremely tiring. Morning was a new module with a new lecturer, Mrs Rama, and shes Indian(i think), and she initially came across as a really firm and strict teacher, and she is, but she can be sociable if she wants to. However I have not had any practical lessons with her yet, so I can't say much about her.

So that was the official end of the day for my class, so GZ,MJ & Mark went to check out the price of the items we're planning to sell for our project, I was supposed to go meet them after i met Bert, but I realised I didn't have enough cash to eat lunch, so I decided to go home. [Sorry guys!!! hahahaha]

Reached home around 2pm, and left again at 4pm, because I signed up for extra Korean language classes, so it was from 6-8pm. So I virtually have a 7 hour break every alternate week, but oh well,I will find something to pass the time.

Well, I expected my teacher to be a female, because I did a search of the lecturer's name, and the results were female, however, my teacher turned out to be a male. Initially I thought: oh man, it's going to be a boring class, but it turned out that the teacher had a really good sense of humour, and we was really funny. His laughter alone is enough to make the whole class laugh. He's the only Korean full-time lecturer from FMS, which is kind of cool. His English isn't that fluent, but I could make out what he was saying,so I enjoyed the lesson. First lesson, homework already assigned to us,hahahaha, need to go buy a textbook and do homework!! T_T

Oh well, at least it's something different, and I'm looking forward to more of such lessons.
Ok, time to sleep!

Monday, October 15, 2007

Well, first day back in school for a whole new semester. The feeling is far from a happy one, but yet it's also not as downcast as expected. I guess its back to regularly seeing the classmates once again, tomorrow we should all be able to see if any other people have changed their looks over the vacation period.

Anyways, today was a really short day, class started at 1pm, ended at 3.30pm, so that was all we had for school. Just can say that my group and I will be selling stuff, and hope for the best. And as usual, I'm the leader of this project, hahahaha, already saw it coming, but I was hoping it would have been someone else, but oh well, team roles have already been decided.

So ya, this would be the end of Day 1 of this semester, still a LONG WAY to go before the end of Year 2, so just have to grit my teeth and make it through this semester smoothly. Tomorrow will be yet another short day for me, but will end at night, ah well, shouldn't be much of a problem for yours truly. =)

Tuesday, October 09, 2007

Just came home from lunch with the Ngee Ann Polytechnic HLM Advisory Committee and Board of Directors. It was really a first for me having such a formal lunch with people in high places. Mark, MJ and myself were all split up into different tables sadly, but at least it forced us to make new friends, and it kind of good actually. I got to know a few NP staff people, and majority of the big-shot people were sitting at my table: Dr Chang(LSCT Director), Mr Chin(Director of Botanic Gardens), Mr Tan(Chairman of the committee), and a few more whom I idn't get much of a chance to interact with.
All in all, it was a really good lunch(the black pepper chicken was the bomb!), and it was good to know a few figures in the Horticulture industry.

Now I have to go out of the house again, ZHC just got the Starhub internet connection, and there seems to be a problem with his computer, so I got to go down there and help him out, hahahaha, busy busy busy. It's going to be a really tiring day. =X

Talk to you guys soon!!

I just want to state that the weather is really on the fritz at this point of time. Just a few months ago, it kept raining, and I honestly thought the rainy season caught the early train to Singapore. Sadly, it turns out I was wrong, it got on the wrong train, probably to Zimbabwe or somewhere far away from our little island.

Hahaha,ok I'm just being skeptical here, but don't you all feel the weather is really warm these few days? I guess all the realease of toxic fumes into the air is finally taking a toll, and the atmosphere is,unfortunately, dying out on us, and us homo-sapiens are on the recieving end of it all.

Well, I just hope the rainy season will get a train ticket here ASAP, so we all can enjoy the cooling weather, where some of us won't need to bathe almost 5 times a day. -_-''
Ok, so I got to sleep now, early morning tomorrow. Good night! Bye bye.

~moey out~
Well, just reached home from Raffles Place. Went for a dinner gathering with my classmates just now, and it was also to celebrate Elfie's and Mark's birthdays! Hahahaha, glad that all of us had a great time eating and hanging out at the Starbucks at Fullerton.
Sadly, we couldn't get any seats inside the air-conditioned area, so had to settle for seats near the Esplanade, but the view was not too bad, except all the construction cranes building the IR. We had a really great time there, with all the chatting, accompanied by Nisa's treat for all the drinks,Thanks gal!!

Surprisingly, the counter girl at that outlet was actually a former YTSS student, hahaha,I really had no idea, but then she recognised me. o.O I thought I was not a popular person, so I didn't expect that. She's 1 year my junior, but I'm glad I got to know someone else from my school, but I totally forgot the most important thing: her name. Hahaha, now that I think of it, it was actually quite rude of me to not ask her for her name. Ah well, hope next time such situations won't happen again.

So we all chatted by the Bay for over 2 hours, topics ranging from worklife to times when we were younger to families. I wouldn't have mind if we continued past midnight, but a few of my friends had to work, so couldn't stay out too late. And it won't be nice to miss the last train either, so we left the place.
Then, GZ,MJ,Fie,Nis,Malyna and myself, decided to go to the Fullerton Hotel's toilet, and it was simply gorgeous. We should have done our toilet project at that place, but anyways, it was a really good place to look around, what with all the architecture and polished floors and walls, it was truly a sight to behold.

So yea, that was the end of a good day, and now its down to the last week of the holidays, and my timetable is really weird, because I signed up for extra Korean language class, and unfortunately, it clashes with my Tuesday lessons at church, so I guess I have to do make up for those lessons then. Really pray that there will be make-up classes for the church lessons, hahahaha, oh well, if it's His will,so be it, nothing to say.
Alright, time to go sleep now, take care people, good nights!

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

Alrights! I guess a few of you have recieved my lame sms, hahahahaha. A few have replied positively, while others didn't, and some became conversation starters. But I sent it out because one of my kids from church sent it to me, and it was actually quite hilarious, so I decided to send it out to you all.
Then RoS sent me another sms of a similar nature:

Ah Beng was in a crowded bus. He dropped his son's photo, and it fell under a lady's long skirt. He asked her:"Miss, can you lift up your skirt? I want to take Photo."

Hahahaha, maybe some of you have heard of this before, but when I read this,it also cracked me up. And honestly, these kind of sms' really lighten up the mood, Ling Jie was feeling stressed over her school work, then when she got my sms, she told me it lightened her evening. And that really made my day. So maybe when you all get something like that, forward to your friends, you might not know what kind of replies you might get, and some can turn out to be pretty humorous.

Anyways, on another note, my mum just came home from her shopping trip to Bangkok. She went with Cal's mum, Pam, my grandparents, and her old time friend. All of them just went there for pure shopping bliss, and according to her, all of them bought A LOT of things. My mum personally bought back almost a whole new wardrobe worth of clothes , and I have no idea where she will hang those new clothes. (I know girls, you all would love to go on such trips right?)

Ok, anyways got to hit the sack soon, getting ready for a tiring day tomorrow,so take care everyone! Good night!

Happy Childrens Day!!!

I guess the class will not know why Iqbal deleted his blog, maybe some of them do, just that I don't know. Hahaha, but anyways 1 blogger has left the community, but yet another has joined. And he is none other than my good pal ZHC,hahahaha.

Really surprising, because he said that blogging was really boring, and reading blogs were even worse, but look who's talking now? Hahaha, oh man, really funny, I had to walk over to his place just now to teach him HTML stuff, how to choose nice blogskins etc etc. But it was done quite fast, so no complains. And he was even quite excited on getting his new blog up and running.
His reason for starting a blog is due to boredom. -_-'' Well, I guess the holidays can make people do silly stuff.
So now another blogger who will be joinig the ranks of million other bloggers around the globe.

ZHC, you better regularly update your blog, or else it will just be as boring as you are. :P

PS:I just added the birthday photos, because I just got them. =)
