In the mood for food

Yesterday there was sort of a farewell dinner thrown for Dickson and myself by Adrian and Joan(his girlfriend). It was a congratulatory dinner for Dickson who ORD-ed from army last month, and an 'all the best' dinner for yours truly. So both of them brought us 2 young ones to a night spot which they themselves frequented when they were our age: Hard Rock Café Singapore.
The amount of food the four of us ordered was more appropriate for six people, because it being a night spot, the food served was also in extra large portions. We had a good time just talking amidst rock songs of the 70's and 80's and a few occasional 'happy birthday' songs as well. By the time we ordered dessert, we already almost filled to the brim, and when dessert arrived, you could say that our stomachs expanded a few more inches, permanently.

Went out with Zailand and Syarizman to watch Aliens VS Monsters, in 3D. It was a really cool experience for all of us, the last time I watched a 3D movie was back in Korea, so this was a first for all of us in Singapore. Aside from the extra charges for the movie tickets, it was good to watch a movie somewhat differently. Even the advertisements for future movies were also in 3D! I guess AWESOME is the word used to describe such a phenomenon.
We then stuffed ourselves at Pizza Hut with pasta, baked rice and of course, pizzas'. It was so filling, and even thinking of it now is still making my guts toss around for a while. Well, 1 more week till I say "hello" to Pulau Tekong, so remembering good times on the main island is a good way to distract myself from all the demoralising moments in camp. Well, till next time then!

One day, a food critic walked into a Japanese restaurant to rate the food served. He took a seat, placed his order and ate when his food came.

After the meal, he asked to speak with the chef who prepared his meal and told him:"mi-so disappointed."

Worrying news

As of now, there have been 8 cases of the H1N1 influenza in Singapore. Just simply hearing the news is saddening enough and thoughts of more cases surfacing seems likely in the future.

This viral strain definitely has a higher mortality rate compared to the common flu we all usually get, however people also still die from the common flu. Therefore, the H1N1 might just be another flu strain which we should all be aware of.

Well, I guess it's simply worrying.
