Well, one major report is finally done, and was handed in just this afternoon. Even though certain portions were missing when I saw the work of other groups, I'm still glad that we did a good job of coming up with the final product. Spent about 48hours straight staring at Microsoft Word, and I must say that this is the very first time I'm typing so much at one shot. Hahahahaha, I guess you can say it's sort of a last minute dash for the finish-line, and we all barely made it.
So now it's all down to the final big submission on Monday, and I still have to stare at the computer a few more days, hahahaha. Oh well, I know we will all make it through no matter what, and I know that we will pull through in the end. So let's all pitch in and do our very best for this final leg of the race people!!! Looking forward to the final presentation and what the judges have to say about our work, and of course, not forgetting the big meal after the presentation, muahahahahaha.Friday, May 30, 2008

Well, the primary and secondary schools have already started their June holidays, and I hope I was back in school, and enjoying this moment, but then again , I don't think I want to go through the O levels once again, hahahaha. Anyways, came back from GKidz encounter yesterday night, and it was a really interesting camp I must say. Definitely got to know my boys even more, and of course, I also got friendly with their energy levels, and I, already an old man compared to them, cannot keep up with those 10 year olds. But we all had a great time, and even though only 2/3 of my group went, it was just nice, because I can hardly handle those energetic bundles, hahahaha. I was so out of energy that I couldn't even take time to take a photo of my whole group, oh well, guess there'll be future opportunities.
Today was just like any other Monday, and at this point of time, I think my WISP class is getting gradually boring by the week. I'm not saying the lecturer is boring, nor the syllabus, but the class. I guess 8am classes is not a very goo time to talk about such interesting topics, because there was hardly any response from the class at all.
Project deadlines are also nearing soon, and I have to get my head back into the projects, and I should, so I'm going to try and finish up my little portion, and get an early rest.

The weather is also a killer nowadays, but it actually makes our job a whole lot easier, because we don't have to deal with water-logged conditions, so its all good.
Now I have to do my other big project, the enormous Mount Faber, so I'm logging off now (because my evil leader is staring at me blogging now) =P, catch ya'll soon!

....Block 35....
2 Saturdays down, about 4-5 more to go, and I'm not really looking forward to any of them to be honest. I still cannot understand why we have to wear long sleeves under the sun, because the reason given to us was "so that you won't get an uneven tan", hahahaha, I mean, long sleeves and the hot sun do not match at all. Well, at least it will help me in the future, just not now. Up to this very moment, projects still loom overhead, and my head is literally taking a beating from all the late nights and early mornings, oh man. Seriously no rest at all, but I don't blame anyone, because its already the final year of my poly life, so I guess everyone is going through something similar.
However, I'm seriously contemplating whether I should stay in this line of work in the future. No doubt I'm really interested in horticulture, but I just don't see myself working like this for the rest of my life. Hahaha, I actually thought of going into the teaching line. I know I know, I'm not cut out for that kind of job yet, but who knows, maybe I might have a change of heart. In any case, I'm still too young to decide, so I'll just leave it for now, and concentrate on studying till I'm much older. So I'll just enjoy every sunrise and sunset of my life and take everything as they come.

But today was kind of a slow and relaxed day compared to other days. Turf management class was alright, but up until now, I still cannot see Mr James as a lecturer, mainly because of the way he talks, and like Daniel said, maybe he's more like an instructor rather than a lecturer. That money-driven guy no doubt has expertise and experience, but I don't see myself working under him, and I really hope I won't ever need to cross paths with him in the future.
FYP was quite alright, didn't really do much compared to last time, because all of us were already mentally and physically exhausted, hahahaha, yikes, the year 3 workload is really getting to us. Thankfully, my mum is still there to fetch me back home, and Dan joined me today. (Nisa, I know what he and Ben were talking about!!! =D) Hahahahahaha, once more, you're out of the loop again, muahahahaha. (Dan, you own me a meal! Hahaha, just kidding)
And my mum is going to get the same phone as me very soon, so no more fumbling with Samsung phones and their non-user friendly functions(or rather, not friendly to the not-so-techy-generation).
So that's it!

Well, today after service, went out with my mum, Calvin and his mum, Pam and my granny to Vivo for a Mother's Day treat by the 2 handsome gentlemen. Hahaha, we all had Thai Express, and even though both of us had bough and flu, we just tucked into hot ans spicy food and soup, hahahaha, guess we won't be recovering anytime soon again. LOL, and during GKidz this morning, we were all treated to a Mother's Day video, and it was actually really true and hilarious, so I thought i might want to share it with all of you. So here it is, and enjoy, and you might agree with me that some statements are often used by our own mum's as well. Hahahahaaha!!!

Anyways, my flu is still not getting any better, partially due to the downing of spicy food yesterday as well.
Today was also the first day of the Work Skills Qualification (WSQ) for all the HLM students, and of course, everyone was a walking bundle of nerves. During the practical, all the invigilators were extremely particular about procedures and I myself rushed through and tripped a bit, hahahahaha, ah well. But it was a really interesting thing to go through, because we were tested for minor details, and all of us could feel the tension in the atmosphere.
After gathering feedback from everyone else, some had it easy, while others had a much tougher time, but everyone passed in the end, so I guess it's not a problem. i only pity the invigilators because they have to arrive so early in the morning and go home in the evening, and not eating much.
I'm glad that it's over and done with, 5 more Saturdays to go, and I guess the certificate is in the bag! Hahahaha, like my invigilator said:"you must have the guts to say you want to pass!", so now I'm declaring: I WANT TO PASS AND GET THIS CERTIFICATE! *flips and throws table*
Hahahahaha,ok, have to go complete more presentations now, byeee!

If it's not mentally strenuous enough, I'm also physically exhausted, not tired, but exhausted. It's been a long time since my body ached so much, and I guess Nis can understand what I'm saying. Hahahaha, the group of us were indeed farmers, and I guess everyone who walked pass made fun of us, hahaha,oh well.
Also went over to see the other guys busy with their FYP, and they are all comparable to mine I guess, and I shouldn't be complaining here. Hahahahahaha, had a good chat with Nis as well, then headed home in 30 mins!! Thanks to my lovely mum, who kindly drove me back home all sticky and sweaty. (Sorry Nis, felt so bad leaving you at the busstop, I didn't even see a smile on your face somemore, hahahahaha, sorry sorry)
So now my flu's getting worse, but I still need to get reports done, so I'll do just that now.
Toodles~~

Take it SLOW
Well, it's already week 4 of school, and I haven't been updating much, mainly because there really isn't much to talk about. Life is so mundane that the same stuff just keeps happening over and over again. Of course the perpetual stress of projects, presentations and assignments looms abovehead, and there is only a short window frame to complete them all.But in all the rushing and stress, I guess we all need to take it slow for at least a little while. I know it's not easy to take it easy, but the 3 pound organ in our head needs to take a break once in a while right? I guess I myself also need to take time, sit down, relax, and take things slowly. All of us have a lot going on in our lives, and I know I already cancelled a few meet-ups with some guys, and my deepest apologies to you guys. Project work is piling up, and now I caught the flu over the weekend, so I'm not performing at my best. Hahahaha, I sound as if I'm helpless when I'm sick......
OK, so anyways, just a little update to liven things up here, so I'll check back soon when there's something to talk about.

Alright!! It's been a really really hectic half a week for everyone. For myself, just doing the little touch ups for IS, mini reports and all, nothing too heavy yet. And finally we got our WISP topic, and we should be starting very soon, but 2 weeks behind all the other classes, hahahahaha, oh well.
GZ and myself went to crash Dr Chitra's BioChem tutorial class, and everything slowly came back again, hahahahaha. It's been a while since all the theories were brought up, and I also mixed up a few, hahahaha, oh well, its all over anyways.
So after that,we went down to Mount Faber once again just now to get a more thorough 'feel' of the whole place, and it was actually better, compared to all the rushing up and down from the bus. My apologies for leaving you all so early once again, hahahaha, I apologized to a lot of people, but I guess I'll do it again here.
So I had to rush all the way back home, bathed, then headed out to meet Zailan to get a cake for Syarizman. Hahahaha, our dear birthday boy hasn't had his birthday celebrated since secondary school, so I thought the 3 of us could celebrate together. MaC dinner and cake smearing was of course in order, and followed by a movie treat by Zai: IronMan!! (I know GZ and the guys will be mad at me), but I really don't mind watching it again, because it's actually one of the better superhero movies made so far. In my opinion, it's the next best thing to Transformers, and if you are into machines and shiny parts, well, this is the movie for you.
Ok, later today, I have another birthday dinner to go for, so I'm going off, and wishing everyone a good May Day.
PS: Happy 19th Bird-Day you big bloke!!! =P
