Fish

A story was told about a person who had a tank me fish at home. He would go home everyday to check on his fish for deformities on the skin or other exterior portions. If he found any, he would just take that fish out, put it the toilet bowl and with a push of a button, the fish would get flushed away. He continued this until one particular day, God spoke to him, asking why he would flush away the imperfect fish. If God were in this man's position, He would never flush us imperfect humans away.

Among the chatter of my boys around me, I was listening to Steve who was anchoring worship. That story really got me nodding my head a million times inside my heart. It's really true that God hasn't flushed us down the toilet, because if it wer‭e true, we would all be swimming inside the sewers right now.

All of us have imperfections, so shouldn't God be laughing at us? Even I sometimes flush other people down the social toilet, and reflecting back on it, it definitely wasn't the right thing to do.

From just a simple story told by Steve, it made me realise that a simple 'press' of a button can really hurt people. Well, if we don't want to get flushed down the toilet by God, I guess we should stop doing it ‭to other people for a start.

The silver years

As time passes by...

places,

and people grow older.

But even as things seem to be gloomier,

we gather over special events.

When there is a bridge between different generations,

patterns will be passed on as well.

And who knows, you might find a new talent among them.

Happy Birthday to the Grandmother who has been such a wonderful role model to the family!
75 years and still going strong I might add. =)
