Firstly,i wanna wish everyone HAPPY CHILDRENS' DAY!!!!!!!!(belated anyways, since it was yesterday) but woo000oooottt anyways!!!!! =)
hahaahaha,i know u think im kinda crazy, but i believe there's a kid in us even though we age.....
well, it was the first time in the history of my life that i spent the day out of the house,im serious. i was helping out at a children's carnival at EXPO,and the reason i volunteered in the 1st place was because my church was just beside it,so might as well la.....
so i reached there around 8.30am,and the whole place was already set up,with balloons, small game stations,a whole area solely for inflatable playgrounds, and an area for food and snacks.... i went with my cell frens and we met up with our cell leader, who was also 1 of the station masters.....so we were all assigned to a particular inflatable playground. ummmm i dunno how to really describe it,but its a rectangular-ish shaped platform, with 3 lanes. well, the 3 lanes were there for 3 kids(1 lane each) to run across.at 1 end there was a harness attached to a bungee cord, and at the other end was for the kids to enter the lane.... well, each lane is seperated by a wall,so there were 2 walls, and there was valcro strips all along the top....
the objective of the game was for the kids to take a bean-bag and run as far as they could, place the bean-bag on the valcro,b4 they would be pulled back by the bungee cord.
1-2-3 and they would run as far as they can,and the furthest bean-bag placed wins.

so 3 of us went to learn how to set up the harness and we tested it out ourselves 1st.....hahah it was really tough to run far b4 u get pulled back, and it was kinda painful, cause it was nearly strangling us....hahah nvm....
so after the 1st few kids came and played our station, the queue gradually became longer, and kids were all pushing each other to get a better view of how to play our game......surprisingly,there were quite a number of gals who played this as well....
and i tell u,it was really tiring to help assist the kids, cause u have to strap and unstrap them quickly(efficiency, duhzz),and whenever the kids ran,we had to sorta pull the cord along so they could run further, and it was xtremely tiring.......i was like sweating 30 mins into the games, and it was in an aircon hall la!!! aiyoooooo, hahahaha,my frens kept saying i would win any sweating-in-an-aircon-room contest.........lol.......
so anyway this pulling and pushing and falling down continued for about 3 hrs, then another 3 guys, whom we didnt know, came to take over us,so we had to teach them how to strap the kids up,and when we let them try, they took too long, and the queue was longer than ever....so in the end,we ended up continuing the games.....once in a while the replacements came to relief us for a a while......
1 observation i made was that the kids who came to our staion were about 60% guys 40% gals, and sometimes the gals won the guys! hahaha, kinda interesting. by the time the carnival ended,it was about 1.45pm,and b4 it started, the inflatable thingy was really dusty, now,it was really clean, hahaha becuase so many ppl kept running up and down,i guess we made cleaning easier for the cleaners....
well,i guess it was really a good experience for me,and i can honestly say it was really fun to spend the time there, hahahah it was really worth it.....sadly,it was on a voluntary basis,so i didnt get a single cent, but oh well......
I dont know if this is a long entry or not,but its the most interesting event that happened so far....... less than 2 weeks b4 going back to school, and im dreading and liking the prospect of returning to school.......oh well...... till next time....
