OK,so today was a really tiring but Xtremely Xciting day....lol.....
every thursday on even weeks,my whole class doesn't have school,so we all get a day off....... so last week,ma gang all decided to go Hari Raya visiting, which is today.......so all the plans were made.....every1 was all hyped-up about it,but every situation will certainly have problems....hahaha,and our situation had 4 problems! out of 10 of us,only 6 of us turned up for the visiting, the other 4 had something on....3 of em had to accompany their GFs,while the remaining 1 had a tennis tournament.....so i guess it would have been much livelier with every1 around....but oh well......
so the 6 musketeers were: Nisa,Malyna,HiD,MJ,Iqbal & yours truly.......so we were all supposed to meet at Pasir Ris MRT(all the houses-to-be-visited were all situatued on the East) at 1.30pm, but only MJ,bal,Malyna and me met up,so we all went to HiD's house 1st,we met Nisa along da way,so it was convenient.....when we went up to her house,it was really magnificent,it really was,the corridor just outside the house was all theirs, and there were plants and decor,it was as if the house was extended into the corridor...... and inside was full of mirrors.....lol...it really enlarged the house,HiD's 3 yr old sister was in the living room with us,and bal kept giving her a serious/scary look, but she just stared back at him, hahahah, losing his ''macho'' aura liaoz........we were all happily chatting and joking when it started to rain heavily, which somehow or another, dampened our spirits....but when it finally cleared,we hurried over to malyna's house, mainly because there was spaghetti prepared by her dad for us,and it was xtremely delicious!!!.....so when we went to her house,it was on the 1st floor of the block la!! -_-'' how lucky can she get man....lolx.....so when we entered the house,it was as though it was in a condominium--it was really spacious and it emitted a sense of coziness......the colours were all orangey and i really liked it......and the concept of the house seemed to revolve around a cottage/chalet type....it was really a cozy and beautiful house.....so we sat down to a hearty meal of spaghetti with Spongebob entertaining us.......
when we were all filled up,we headed on over to the last and final house-Nisa's...... it took a 45 mins busride, and i discovered bal's softer side, but i wont elaborate on it.....
so when we arrived,a curry dinner was prepared for us by Nisa's mum,and we were also treated to Nisa's cooking of water chestnut-filled wantons.....it was tasty mind u.......and i somehow couldn't get a grip on the ice cubes, and 1 fell into my curry, while another dropped on the floor....haizzzzz.....hahahahah,so we all sat down to eat and got to know Nisa's parents better and vice versa.......
oh,and Iqbal's Cats group design was chosen as one of the winners to recieve prize money from out school principal...he was also chosen on and individual project to help SMRT design the new train seats on the upcoming Circle Line.....so if he wins,he would get S$25k!!!! O.O!! hahahah,so if he really wins,we would all get a treat from him...wooohooooo!! hahahaha.....

so the day came to an end,and we all headed home....Nisa had to go bring her KL cousins around Bugis,HiD and Malyna went back in a cab, while the 3 of us guys took a bus to Eunos MRT,and we parted with Iqbal who went to meet with his family.....so all in all,it was an excellent day to be out with good frens and just hanging out..... =)

ahhh yes,the last day of the 1st week of school.......phew...... hahahahx, yea,it was really a good way to end the tedious week today......we had landscape design in the morning,it wasn't very interesting to say the least.....we were simply given a piece of A3 paper, and asked to design our dream courtyard, lol,i ended up drawing a garden i guess......hahahha.....my forte is not drawing la.......

so anyway, the afternoon lesson was the highlight of the day:Floristry!!!! muahahahhahahah.......
hahaha,i know some of u might think its kinda gay-ish/sissy to be arranging flowers, but i tell u,its not easy to arrange flowers...its not just simply *poke* *poke* then tats the end.....a lot of factors come into consideration....like the height of the flowers, the length of the background ferns.....a lot of aga-ration is needed to create a nice looking floral arrangement......hahahaha,it took us like over and hour just to come up with our very 1st flower arrangements........Dr Koh,our flower arrangement lecturer only did it in like 15 mins....-_-''
hhahaha anyways,he said we would at least be getting grade 'B' cause it was our 1st attempt at this.....well,most of my frens all got B's.....lol....i,however,got a big 'A' , hahahahahaha....woo00ottt!!!
not bad la,so we all took a few group shots in the lab,and i also have my 'A' Grade flower arrangement as well...muahahahha.....hahaha....

anyway,on da way back home,MJ and I went to take 184 to the Shell station beside our school, and while we got onto the bus,every1 was just staring at us la.....cause most of the class all brought back their flower arrangements......hahaha,so i was thinking whether we should feel pai seh or just proud to be HLM students.... hmmmmmm

so i met one of my frens along the way home, and here's the short conversation tat took place:

me:hihi
fren:hihi,wah lao,wat u doing with tat plant?
me:i just did it,so i bringing it home lor
fren:oooo
me:haha, lucky u accompany me,or else i so pai seh going home with the plant
fren:*bewildered look*i dont wanna know u sia.......

well,i guess he just said it jokingly, but this made me realise that frens are easily made, but also easily lost.......i guess my true frens wont just judge the outside appearance of me,and people who do,i guess, they can only be frens.......

hahahah, nvm la,let bygones be bygones.....so here are the pix we took together....enjoy =)

phewwwww, lol ok so i guess this is my new skin.....i know i know, its kinda common i guess, but while i was browsing Blogskins, this particular skin caught my attention.......and it was really nice and easy on the eyes.......i also really love the main pic,its kinda comforting and how i wish i was one of the people inside.....haizzzz hahahaha,oh well, i gotta shout out to MJ for helping me with the taggy board........yes yes i know,im very blur when it comes to HTML coding.......
so yea,i guess this'll perk things up for my peeps......
well,2nd day at school was fun as usual.......same going-ons....peeps doing what they do best, talk, fool around,BF around, the list goes on......
it was kinda boring actually, the timetable was really draggy......3 lectures,2hrs each, and 1 hrs breaks between each,so it was like ''lecture-1hr break-lecture-1hr break-lecture'',so it got boring during the break b4 the last lecture......we just sat outside out classroom and had to wait for Mr Chow(as mentioned in my previous post),and it was his 1st time teaching in a classroom..... -_-'' hahaha,so i was so bored,i just took a pic of me spacing out........yes,i was that bored......zzzzzzzzzz.....lol,pls no flaming about my pic lol....i know i look ugly, dont have to tell the whole world.....lolz.......so just enjoy ma new blog and tag it k?? =)

Ok,so it was my 1st day back at school, and it was certainly an eventful day as well,hahahaha......so here's just a quick recap of the events tat happened.....
well,in the morning at 7.45am! yes,1st day back, and lessons start at 8am la.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......so,i mert up my peeps and a particular peep turned up and the noise lvl suddenly shot up 5 notches....hahahaha....ya,so we wnt to our 1st class which was headed by our previous sem PAM lecturer,Mr Saiful,or saiful as we just call him.....lol....so last sem his lessons were really a bore, and it was certainly no different today, and it was really a boring way to start the 1st day of sch.... -_-'' so the initial energy of the class was about 100%,but about 1hr into the lecture, the energy lvl diminished to about 40% only.....zzzzzz it was seriously boring.....this time it was about Soil Science, its kinda interesting, but it was taught by a boring lecturer so to speak...
there was also practical and unfortunately for me,i ended up with the public enemy of the class.....i dont wanna mention names here....haizzzz, so i guess i'll have to endure with him for about 10 weeks or so...... T_T

in the afternoon,it was landscape design and it was really interesting, however a big turn off was the fact that we all had to buy a set of design markers and drawing tools and materials, and my lecturer said the price of everything was extimated at about a whopping $200!!!!! insane!!!!!!!! so so so ex la......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, oh well, other than that i guess i'll have to try to enjoy landscape design even thought i dont really like drawing at all.....haizzzz

after lunch,we had a new subject called hydroponics, and it was by a new lecturer,Mr Gregory Chow, and my 1st impression of him is that he's an exciting guy to learn from.... but he every1 is not perfect, and he was so sarcastic la,just like my other lecturer Dr Koh,hahahha i guess they attended the same school which majored in sarcasm.....he also seemed a bit soft but he made hydroponics interesting,so i guess it wouldn't be too bad.....

well, this was the 1st day of school, and i guess it'll be more interesting in days to come ya.....hahha.......i'll update again very very soon...... =)

Sunday, October 08, 2006

Ok,so its been quite a while since i blogged,so here's a lil update on what i've been doing at hme....
so yea, recently i just got 2 new plants for my house, mainly because the previous plant was already an undead plant, the leaves were all withered and brown, but it looked like it was still alive...o.O so this is how it looked before i threw it away:

the little white stuff in the 2nd picture are actually a pest called mealy bugs, and they are seriously nasty creatures.i know the pic is kinda blurred,so the bugs look like short white caterpillars with a lot of fur on them.....hahaha, and dont go trying to squish them, cause u really dont wanna know how it feels like to squish these bugs....

so obviously i had to get new plants to replace this old 1,so i got not 1 ,but 2 new potted plants.the 1st plant is an Anthurium species, while the 2nd plant is a Begonia rose, here are pix on how they look like respectively:

they look so much more lively eh,with those cute pink flowers,my mum just couldn't resist falling in love with em'..... hahahahhaha,so my corridor looks beautiful once again.......phew.....

well,i also noticed that the haze has really been a big concern to singaporeans, cause just yesterday at 11am,the PSI was at a whopping 130!!!! i means its really mindboggling to realise how bad the forest fires are in Indonesia, fortunately, today, the PSI was only 34 according to my mum,so i guess it really depends on how the winds blow the smoke..... the last time i remember haze which was also quite bad was like 10 years ago....but i dont really remember how serious it was back then.....

so now,its only 1 more week before i return back to school, and im really gonna miss the holidays, haizzzzz oh well, school should be fun, with new stuff to learn and new projects to deal with, woooohoooooo -_-''..........oh man, projects and more projects.....no more comment on em....... T_T

so yea,i guess this is it for this entry and really really gonna miss the holidays again.....aw well...... like i always say: stay happy =)

Firstly,i wanna wish everyone HAPPY CHILDRENS' DAY!!!!!!!!(belated anyways, since it was yesterday) but woo000oooottt anyways!!!!! =)
hahaahaha,i know u think im kinda crazy, but i believe there's a kid in us even though we age.....
well, it was the first time in the history of my life that i spent the day out of the house,im serious. i was helping out at a children's carnival at EXPO,and the reason i volunteered in the 1st place was because my church was just beside it,so might as well la.....
so i reached there around 8.30am,and the whole place was already set up,with balloons, small game stations,a whole area solely for inflatable playgrounds, and an area for food and snacks.... i went with my cell frens and we met up with our cell leader, who was also 1 of the station masters.....so we were all assigned to a particular inflatable playground. ummmm i dunno how to really describe it,but its a rectangular-ish shaped platform, with 3 lanes. well, the 3 lanes were there for 3 kids(1 lane each) to run across.at 1 end there was a harness attached to a bungee cord, and at the other end was for the kids to enter the lane.... well, each lane is seperated by a wall,so there were 2 walls, and there was valcro strips all along the top....
the objective of the game was for the kids to take a bean-bag and run as far as they could, place the bean-bag on the valcro,b4 they would be pulled back by the bungee cord.
1-2-3 and they would run as far as they can,and the furthest bean-bag placed wins.

so 3 of us went to learn how to set up the harness and we tested it out ourselves 1st.....hahah it was really tough to run far b4 u get pulled back, and it was kinda painful, cause it was nearly strangling us....hahah nvm....
so after the 1st few kids came and played our station, the queue gradually became longer, and kids were all pushing each other to get a better view of how to play our game......surprisingly,there were quite a number of gals who played this as well....
and i tell u,it was really tiring to help assist the kids, cause u have to strap and unstrap them quickly(efficiency, duhzz),and whenever the kids ran,we had to sorta pull the cord along so they could run further, and it was xtremely tiring.......i was like sweating 30 mins into the games, and it was in an aircon hall la!!! aiyoooooo, hahahaha,my frens kept saying i would win any sweating-in-an-aircon-room contest.........lol.......
so anyway this pulling and pushing and falling down continued for about 3 hrs, then another 3 guys, whom we didnt know, came to take over us,so we had to teach them how to strap the kids up,and when we let them try, they took too long, and the queue was longer than ever....so in the end,we ended up continuing the games.....once in a while the replacements came to relief us for a a while......
1 observation i made was that the kids who came to our staion were about 60% guys 40% gals, and sometimes the gals won the guys! hahaha, kinda interesting. by the time the carnival ended,it was about 1.45pm,and b4 it started, the inflatable thingy was really dusty, now,it was really clean, hahaha becuase so many ppl kept running up and down,i guess we made cleaning easier for the cleaners....
well,i guess it was really a good experience for me,and i can honestly say it was really fun to spend the time there, hahahah it was really worth it.....sadly,it was on a voluntary basis,so i didnt get a single cent, but oh well......
I dont know if this is a long entry or not,but its the most interesting event that happened so far....... less than 2 weeks b4 going back to school, and im dreading and liking the prospect of returning to school.......oh well...... till next time....
